Foster Program

What is a foster care provider? Photos of young women with cats.

A volunteer who cares for animals that are not yet adoptable due to reasons such as:
   - Under-age/ un-weaned
   - Require special medical care
   - Require socialization

Foster care providers are matched with animals according to animal needs and provider abilities.

How do I become a provider?

Care providers must attend a general shelter volunteer orientation and foster care provider training workshop to receive instruction on shelter policies and basic medical care. Then they can  complete an application and sign a care provider agreement.

Foster Care Provider Workshop:

Held on the 3rd Sunday of each month
