F.U.R.
Friends of Unwanted Rabbits Adoption Program

A program created by a shelter volunteer in 2004, whereby rabbits that come in to the shelter are brought to PETsMART stores for increased exposure to the public. TEAM, the non-profit affiliate of the shelter, donated funds to purchase high quality rabbit cages for the retail stores. PETsMART employees and volunteers care and feed the rabbits. They carefully counsel potential adopters about the care and feeding of rabbits, best kinds of cages, and the time requirements involved. Since the program inception, bunny adoptions have doubled. Rabbits are the third most popular pet in America and make wonderful pets - they can even be litter box trained! For more information, contact our Volunteer Coordinator at 875-5848.

If you would like to help raise money for the rabbits rescued by F.U.R. you can purchase merchandise by visiting www.cafepress.com/teamfur.  All proceeds will be used for spay and neutering, medical care, foster care expenses, printing of educational materials and other supplies as needed.  There are high quality items such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, magnets, greeting cards and much more.  They all showcase the new F.U.R. logo which was designed by New York artist Cristian Fleming.
