Diamond

Diamond

My son Christian always wanted a dog. About a year ago, his father and I went out looking for the perfect dog. We arrived at the County Animal Shelter and looked and looked, but we couldn't find a dog that fit our family.

As we were walking out to leave, he saw her, a little brown and white tabby, sticking her paw out of the cage to get our attention. Christian saw her and said, "Oh mom, she’s so cute! Can I have her?"

We were told she was withdrawn and bit intolerant of other animals, but would be a good lap cat. Upon getting her home she became very sick and hid most of the time. We gave her lots of love, took her to our veterinarian, and she became a very beautiful, healthy cat.

She loves to talk and prance around the house. Her favorite spot is wherever her mommy (me) is sitting. She cannot be rubbed enough, so if you want to pet her, you better have some time! We call her Diamond because she is so precious - she was our diamond in the rough! We celebrate her Birthday every New Years Eve! We love her very much.
