Chance, The Gentle Giant

Photograph of Chance

We adopted Chance from the Sacramento County Shelter over the summer of 2004 and we have been really happy with him. He loves the kids, and just wants to be in on the action.

To most new people he seems a bit scary because he is so big, but once you get to know him you soon realize he wouldn’t hurt a fly. Though people questioned our decision to adopt a Rottweiler from the shelter, we trusted the shelter and the amount of time they took with him. More over, we just fell in love with him. He is so sweet and you could see in his eyes that he just wanted to be loved.

We were told that Chance came to the shelter in extremely bad shape; underweight and infected eyes. Our kids named him Chance since we were his second chance and he ours.
